A Letter to My Future Self

Dear Future Me,

I hope when you read this, you're smiling—not because everything turned out perfectly, but because you made it through the parts that didn’t.

Right now, I’m in college, balancing assignments, work shifts, and late-night thoughts. Some days feel like a marathon, and others like a blur. I’m learning so much—not just in classes, but about myself. About how I work under pressure, how I handle disappointment, and how much power there is in showing up even when things are hard.

I wonder what life looks like for you. Did you chase that dream job? Did you travel? Do you still stay up late writing random ideas in your notes app? I hope so. I hope you never lost the part of you that loves to create without needing a reason.

There are so many uncertainties ahead, and that used to scare me. But now, I’m starting to see that uncertainty is where all the possibility lives. It’s where growth happens. It’s where you find out who you really are.

I hope you’ve learned to slow down sometimes—to take deep breaths, enjoy the small wins, and appreciate how far you’ve come. I hope you still call home just to say hi. And I hope you’ve forgiven yourself for the mistakes, because they helped you become who you are now.

Whatever happens, don’t forget: you started with passion, curiosity, and the belief that stories matter—including your own.

With love,
My past self
